Shawn Morrison: It's interesting that you're not an e-mail capitalizer. Most people aren't I guess.
Me: I honestly think we should pretty much get rid of capitals in English.
Shawn Morrison: Okay ee cummings.
Me: Well, it's true! I mean, why does writing "You went to the store" mean anything better/different than "you went to the store"?
Shawn Morrison: I GUESS.
Me: I would be fine with all caps except it's harder to read.
Me: I think we should remove casual caps and use all lower but use upper for emphasis and anger.
Me: you went to the store but you DIDN'T GET MY ICE CREAM
Shawn Morrison: Well, that's how I already do it.
Shawn Morrison: I also think we should bring back capitalization for important words. "I think you should go to the Clinic and get an Abortion."
Shawn Morrison: "PRONTO."
I also use caps very rarely in emails. M.
